Mammoth : Day 5 - Devil's Postpile

Devil's Postpile will never cease to amaze me. These multi-sided columns formed naturally by cracks formed from cooling lava. This is a fine example of "columnar basalt". A visit to Rainbow Falls followed by a cool treat ended the rewarding hike.
