Beach Day with Cousins

VBS

The kids had such a great time at Wintersburg VBS, we were so proud of Anna volunteering to help kids with crafts. Sam did a great job participating in a 4th grade class and joining in games, crafts, snacks and song. Such a blessing!

 

Donuts and Fair

We awoke to a huge assortment of treats from the Donut Bar, courtesy of Marilyn and Ted. We went to the OC Fair later in the afternoon. The highlight this year was the adorable bunnies. Afterwards we went to Confetti Ice for a parfait concoction. Marilyn and Ted ended their visit at the Back Bay Nature Preserve. They enjoyed their stay in our "newly remodeled" guest room, converted from our den. We like the switch so much, we're trying to keep the room this way.

Marilyn and Ted Visit

Marilyn and Ted came for a visit, the day they arrived we went to Crystal Cove Beach after picking Sam and Anna up from VBS. This year, Anna volunteered with crafts while Sam attended the 4th grade class. When we arrived at Crystal Cove, we secured the best table at Ruby's Shake Shack, the yellow table and bench which overlooks the beach. We enjoyed burgers and shakes, then went down below where the kids went exploring in the tide pools.
