19 Years

We made the most of our 19th anniversary. We started off with a run and ended up joining a local 10k race. Steve placed first overall by a landslide. After a gift of a sunflower bouquet, we headed to the Getty Museum. We enjoyed a beautiful lunch at the museum restaurant, both of our seafood dishes were delicious. Steve and I were able to enjoy the art at a leisurely pace, I especially admired the Monet pieces after reading Claude and Camille recently. Another memorable day, happy anniversary Steve!

Acrobats of China

What a fun time watching the Acrobats of China at the Segerstrom Concert Hall. Better yet, the kids sat at a tier lower than Steve and I did. We could see them at all times and they were very well behaved. We all enjoyed the performance in this beautiful venue.

Joan Benoit Samuelson

At my alma mater we were fortunate to hear Joan Benoit Samuelson speak at the community event "Moving through Life". Joan was the Olympic gold medalist in the inaugural women's marathon in Los Angeles in 1984. She spoke about her career in her talk entitled "There is no Finish Line". What an inspiration to hear this 58 year-old woman speak about fitness and her current life of enjoying a healthy lifestyle and running many races, including marathons.
