Great way to start the weekend. Steve and Anna ran a local 5k supporting Thomas House which helps homeless families. They each got 2 medals: a finisher's medal and an age group medal.

Ted's Celebration of Life

There was a huge turnout for Ted's Celebration of Life. Many people traveled from out-of-state to remember Ted. There were five display boards of photos, each showing an aspect of his life: Young Ted, Marriage, Kids and Grandkids, Travel, and Extended Family and Friends. Enough could not be said about this kind, humble, gracious, caring man. Ted touched so many lives in so many positive ways. Ted set an example for others to follow, and I am blessed to be a part of his family.

Grandkids (l to r): Carter, Anna, Lily, Ted, Sam, Giada, Jules, Jack

Adults (l to r from the back row): Ward, Jerry, Mark, Kim, John, Steve, Richard, Wendell, Nancy, Christie, Bob, Mina, Gretchen, Marilyn, Kathe

Remembering Ted

In preparation for Ted's Celebration of Life, Steve worked diligently on a video presentation, and together we worked on photo boards of his life. We also made the program to be handed at the service, and his mom and sisters wrote the memories and made all the arrangements for Heather Farms Garden Center.

LA Marathon 2015

Mari, Julia and I went to watch Steve and Rob run in the LA Marathon. It was Rob's first marathon ever. Conditions were crazy, heat advisories, extra fluid stations, fire hydrants running to cool off the participants. Races have become so high tech, there was even an app where you can track the runners. We had several friends to watch along the way. It was fun watching the runners and cheering like mad. Way to go!
