Track Season

Anna has had a great start to the track season. It's nice that her youth coach Jerry has become her high school cross country and long distance track coach as well. Right now Anna prefers the 800 and 1600 distances. She also participated in a medley relay in which each member runs a different distance before handing off the baton.

One of the highlights has been meeting Mary Decker Slaney, she attended high school in Southern California in her youth. What an inspiration for the girls!

Rob's Park

Rob designed a park for his work and we were happy to meet up with him and the family for playtime. It is in a new housing development and a stunning centerpiece!

Best Snow Day Ever, Part 3

Most stores were either sold out of snow toys or didn't have them on stock. But with the sleds and massive inner tube, we were set. Everyone had to take a ride on the inner tube, some of us more reluctantly than others. But we all stayed safe and had a ton of fun!

There were lot of photo opportunities. It was exciting climbing up and running down the hills that had snow the depths of the lengths of our legs. The white-topped trees were especially pretty.

Mount Baldy had one epic week of snow, and probably just the one excellent weekend of it for the year. Rachel carefully tracked the weather of the optimal snow play conditions. We headed up there on just the right morning and hit the fresh snow before anyone else did that day. Enjoy the three entries of photos!
