Hawaii - Day 6, Part 1 : Historic Kailua Kona

Yay! Sam's knee is healing up nicely. He was able to in the hotel beach as well as the hotel pool with his sister and friends. Whereas the Hilo side of the island had some rain in the evenings and was sunny then overcast, this Kona side stays quite sunny. We all took a stroll in Downtown Kailua Kona to Island Lava Java where we had a scrumptious breakfast. It's too easy to fall in love with the fresh fruits here: especially the mangoes, papayas, and lychees. There's beautiful flowers falling from the trees as we walked, especially the plumeria. Beauty everywhere!
