Anna's Mammoth Week

Anna had plenty of friends to take photos of her during her week running in Mammoth!

Birthday Dinner

My birthday fell on a day during Anna's summer running camp in Mammoth. So Steve made reservations for three at Napa Rose. The boys didn't grumble about putting on button-up shirts at this fine dining establishment. They served a nice bread basket, we ordered drinks. I enjoyed seafood while the boys enjoyed their steaks. Sam looks quite at home at a restaurant like this. Great service, we had an excellent time.

Psychedelic Furs

This summer Yumi and I went to see the Psychedelic Furs at the OC Fair during its concert series. My favorite songs of theirs include "The Ghost in You" and "Pretty in Pink". It's amazing how many songs we could sing along to! We had time to enjoy the fair a bit before and after the concert. Summer fun!

Prisma

There is a new app called Prisma, it can transform your photos into amazing paintings and illustrations!

Mono Lake and June Lake

Our final full day in Mammoth, Sam and my mom felt a lot better and we decided to head to June Lake and Mono Lake. At Mono Lake, we were able to enjoy the incredible scenery created by the tufa towers. The enormous alkaline lake is home to lots of brine shrimp and flies. At June lake, we rented a kayak and Steve took my mom out for her first kayak ride. Unique experiences, fun times!

Downtown Mammoth

We checked into our condo upon arrival at Mammoth, we had a nice two story where my mom had a private room downstairs and the rest of us had the loft upstairs. We had dinner at Toomey's in the evening, and enjoyed the new game craze Pokemon Go downtown. Unfortunately, Sam and my mom experienced altitude sickness later on at night and had to take it easy the next day.
