Summer Road Trip, Alcatraz, Part 2

We enjoyed the recreation area on Alcatraz, it was a bit stark but the sea air was quite refreshing. At the gift shop at Alcatraz Island, Kim met an author and former Alcatraz prisoner and purchased a signed copy of the book. Afterwards, the cruise took us to Angel Island, once dubbed the Ellis Island of the west. Another scenic spot, many people use Angel Island as a place to gather and picnic and spend time. The cousins had so much fun spending time together.  We were all able to take a nice touristy photo before heading back to the mainland. A drive by the row of Painted Ladies homes ended our memorable day.
