Turkey Contest "Winner"

Our school held a fundraiser contest: buy a candygram and earn a feather to decorate a teacher's turkey. The turkey (teacher) with the most feathers wins a prize, wear a turkey costume at the next Friday Flag Ceremony. Guess whose turkey was overflowing with feathers... yes, mine. Well, I tried to hide when they announced my name but as a good sport, jogged to the front of the students and teachers and proudly wore the costume for the morning. I even ran a lap to showcase the turkey. :)

Day Trip to San Diego

Balboa Park is a nice getaway in San Diego, there are gardens, a craft faire, and an arboretum, lots of unique touches that makes you feel like you are more than a couple of hours away from home. We enjoyed the Southern California weather and had a tasty treat at Extraordinary Desserts.

Puppy Love

Little do either of them realize how quickly the little puppy will grow.

Ice Hockey

Sam and his classmates participated in an ice hockey training sponsored by the Mighty Ducks. The students were bused to the ice skating rink weekly for a month and learned basic ice skating and ice hockey skills. They were then given the option to sign up for future ice hockey courses. So that is Sam's new hobby, ice hockey. He is doing a fantastic job and is the best ice skater in the family, by far. We are so proud of him!

Trick-or-Treat

We took the kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Steve held the puppy the whole time. Shadow got quite a bit of attention, Sam's eyeball mask garnered a lot more comments!
